POLARIZED FLAME TREATMENT FOR 3D OBJECT
The treatment process, founds positive results on plastic parts,
especially on the automotive industry
for the treatment of bumpers, dashboards, headlights, lens,
and other plastic parts to be painted, printed, glued or coupled with other materials.

Flame treatment penetrates in deep, on the surface substrate of plastic material, and increases its adhesion and its wettability with any modification on its optical and physical properties.
Such technology is reliable, safety and for a long time, already tested on several industrial applications. The type of used flame (1700°C) it is the result of the combustion of a combustible air/gas mixture.
During the flame process, the follow parameters must be monitored :
Temperature of the flame
Dwell time of treater sample, under the flame. (burner speed respect to the treated sample)
Supplied amount of energy, to the sample.
Type of sample
Temperature of the sample.
Type of gas
Treatment level requested (dyne/cm)
SURFACE FLAME TREATMENT can be used for any materials,
in which must be increased its adhesion level, its wettability.
It is a must for POLYPROPYLENE and POLYETHYLENE.
HOW TESTING SURFACE TREATMENT LEVEL
The standard method for testing the treatment level, it is based on International rules ASTM D2578, widely accepted from all plastic industries. On practice, a small tip covered by sterile cotton layer, will be wet with a small quantity of solution (test liquid ink). Such ink, will be spread on area of about 1 square cm over the sample. (by covering treated and not treated area). Waiting time are not imposed, to see the shrinking in drops, from the initial spread of liquid ink. Merely, if such ink remains, (at least 2 sec. or more) as from the initial spread status, such tested surface, could be considered treated at the same value of used ink solution.
