1969 Giulio Lori & Augusto Angeli fondano la esseCI
The first industrial system for surface flame treatment of PP web, was born on 1972, by “esseCI – Società di costruzioni industriali “ under the job commission of Polymer Co. co-owner of Montedison. (In that time Montedison was the only PP web Italian manufacturer). Such system, was been integrated on equipment for tape production at the run speed of 25 mt/min and tape width of 1200 mm. After that, the spreading of technology was enlarged to other systems step by step more bigger, as power terms (to reply to hi-speed requests) and larger, as web width, (to reply to the hi-volume of production).
Subsequently, the technology was extended to other plants that were progressively larger and faster and were used on polypropylene products of the automotive industry and alternative materials such as polyethylene, polyester, paper, cardboard and aluminum.
Over the years, the application of this technology for the treatment of the surface of polypropylene and non-polypropylene films has undergone considerable diffusion and appreciation by the processing industry resulting in being an extremely effective technology and susceptible of further improvements and applications.
