There are other applications in which flame treatment is beneficial in improving the surface characteristics of the materials, some of which we can discover together.
Some examples include:
Flame Treatment For Special Applications
The micro-perforation is carried out by passing the film on a roll which has holes in the surface, of predetermined diameter and density;
the flame, acting on the film, melts it near the holes of the roller.
The holes produced are clean and with a reinforced edge, greatly increasing resistance to breakage
Application example : it is used as a packaging to wrap bread, fruit, vegetables and agriculture; also as medicare and diaper patches
Whilst the surfaces of aluminium sheeting may appear smooth, an examination with an electron microscope may reveal various imperfections.
The sheeting may look physically suitable for effective adhesion to a coating, yet the lamination systems employed could leave traces of oil on the surface that penetrate the imperfections and thus inhibit adhesion. The flame treatment perfectly cleans surfaces and creates the necessary bonds with other materials.
Application example : for industrial doors, cleaning processing residues from steel plating prior to coupling with polyurethane.
Singeing for all fabrics both synthetic and artificial that require peeling.
Flame treatment systems for rubber in the form of thin sheets or tape, with end uses in the textile industry.
Application example : Elastic for underwear.
Flame treatment of plastic containers destined for various uses increases the adhesion of the paint.
Application example : Plastic vases for flowers.
Application example : Sheets in transparent polycarbonate treated to increase the optical Properties.
Application example :Sheets in polypropylene (both flat and 3D) for roofing in construction—a flame treatment increases the adhesion of the coating.
Flame treatment of plastic containers destined for various uses increases the adhesion of the paint.
Application example :Flame treatment of the ends of tubing to facilitate coupling.
Skiing
Application example : Flaming the polyethylene film to increase the capacity for bonding to
the metal sheeting used in creating skis and snowboards.
